studioHuB architects ltd. was engaged to provide full architectural services for a new office for the Independent Investigations Office at UBC, from stakeholder engagement and design through construction. The team also led furniture procurement and interior finish selection.

The 2,000 sq. ft. tenant improvement includes private offices, interview and meeting rooms, enhanced security systems, and a central gathering space. A key project requirement was achieving a high level of acoustical privacy while supporting collaboration and day-to-day operations.

Throughout the design process, attention was given to creating shared spaces for informal meetings, teamwork, and social interaction. Warm wood finishes and natural materials were incorporated throughout the interior to create a welcoming environment and help balance the demanding nature of the workplace.
