Independent Investigation Office

Vancouver, BC

Overview

studioHuB architects is has worked on two office projects for UBC Project Services, for a combined total of close to 70 people. The two spaces are located next to each other, but each have a distinctive function and requirements: Where the one is an office environment that requires a high degree of acoustical privacy, the other consists of a large open work area.

This 2000 SF tenant improvement included offices and a central gathering area for the newly formed Independent Investigations Office. The space included two interview and meeting rooms as well as enhanced access and security systems. StudioHuB was responsible for the furniture selection for this project as well.

In both cases, studioHuB architects has put an emphasis on creating shared spaces for working, socializing and collaborating.  As both offices have highly demanding jobs, the environments are designed to be calming by introducing natural tactile materials in the reception are and circulation spaces.
