Located in a new facility, this commercial tenant improvement takes full advantage of floor to ceiling glazing, concrete floors, and exposed steel structure. To create a new hub within the Commerical/Industrial district of Squamish, mezzanine space has been added to provide for large group socializing, corporate retreats and outdoor adventure gatherings.
studioHuB architects are the Prime Consultant for the design and build of a new cidery in Squamish. The facility has two distinct uses: the production facility, and the restaurant and tasting room. The production facility has been custom designed to streamline the cider making process, with attention to loading, storage, and cleaning. The front of house consists of a tasting room with full licensed restaurant complete with commercial kitchen, a sales counter, and a patio.
The design draws inspiration from its location, majestic Squamish, BC. Local heavy timber wood has been transformed into a commanding 20 foot long bar. A form board concrete wall provides a focal point for the 12 taps and a wood cantilever stair defines the space between public front of house and the upstairs lounge. A large black and white landscape photo of the Squamish River provides a backdrop for those tasting cider and sampling the menu.
