As one of the oldest buildings at Evans Lake, it feels right to pay homage to the long-time heart of our camp, the dining hall.
studioHuB was engaged by Evans Lake to design a new Multipurpose Hall to replace the existing dining hall, which will be renovated into a large meeting space. The new building will increase capacity and flexibility to accommodate a diversity of program needs, enhance the camp experience for campers and guests and provide a much needed weather-protected space for learning.
As one of the oldest buildings at Evans Lake, it feels right to pay homage to the long-time heart of our camp, the dining hall. As such, the new multipurpose hall will incorporate several of the traditions from the original dining hall such as family style, intimate table dinners, large open concept with excellent sight lines and direct access to the kitchen.
Some of the features the new building will be expanding on are:
- A universally accessible building
- Stronger indoor/outdoor connection
- Opportunities for outdoor barbeques and dining
- Large hand washing area
