Stoney Tribal Education, Morley

We have extensive experience with site analysis, functional programming, engagement with the public, students, parents, steering committees and community members.  Our combined team has conducted over 100 site reviews and analysis, taking into consideration environmental challenges, geotechnical analysis, future master planning, immediate and long-term needs. For most of our Ministry of Education projects, we start with a PRFS analysis, which is a study on building sitting, costing, civil and overall needs assessment and projected school building areas.

A recent example is for Stoney Tribal Middle School:  we had two in-person 3 day engagement sessions with students, teachers, community members, and chief and council.  We reviewed site options based on previous geotechnical reports as well as evaluated (with a full engineering team) the two existing schools. Our team engaged with the Health Authority, Educational Authority, Chiefs and the Director of Child and Family Services, to understand current challenges and aspirations and how the new middle school can help provide a holistic approach to each student’s success in their educational journey.
